This keyboard is the first mechanical keyboard I can enjoy. The reason is sound, as I'm very touchy about unnecessary noise. I use the brown optical switch version and it's completely acceptable for me out of the box. It's just a little bit louder than Apple magic keyboard or Lenovo/Dell ones.
Still it has couple of annoying details:
- backlight key. I really don't catch the idea of having a separate button just for blinking, especially when there is a loot of free ones that could be used together with fn key. I really miss the insert key, as it's widely used in different applications as a part of shortcuts .
- Bluetooth works only in short distance from the receiver. I'm not sure if it's a problem with keyboard or the receiver, still, when I had the receiver plugged into hub i my screen, the keyboard was not usable. Shortening distance solved the problem completely however.
- I cannot remap buttons I completely do not need, like screen brightness, opening file explorer etc. It would be great to make it possible
- I would really, really enjoy if it would be possible to create my own firmware/software for this keyboard. I completely do not understand the idea behind having a deeply customizable keyboard but sticked to some closed firmware.
Overall, that's a great keyboard, I really enjoy it, still would be happy to see a bit more.
